Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how kunalganglani.com (the “Site”), operated by Kunal Ganglani (“I”, “me”, or “we”) from Toronto, Canada, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit. It also describes the choices and rights you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
I aim to comply with Canada’s PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, and California’s CCPA/CPRA.
1. Information I collect
Collected automatically when you browse:
- Your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, operating system, and language.
- Pages visited, referring URL, links clicked, time on page, and similar usage data.
- Information stored in cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies & tracking).
Information you choose to provide:
- Your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter.
- A display name and country if you save a score on the games leaderboards (you may use any name — a real name is not required).
- Any message and contact details you send through a contact form or by email.
The Site is not intended for, and I do not knowingly collect information from, children (see Children’s privacy).
2. How I use information
- To deliver, maintain, and improve the Site’s content, tools, and games.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email).
- To measure and understand how the Site is used (analytics).
- To display and measure advertising (see Advertising).
- To keep the Site secure and diagnose errors.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies & tracking technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device; the Site and its third-party partners also use similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and device identifiers). They fall into these categories:
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which help me understand traffic and how visitors interact with pages. Microsoft Clarity may record session interactions (clicks, scrolls, and mouse movement) as heatmaps and playback in aggregate.
- Advertising — Mediavine and its advertising partners set cookies to serve and measure ads (see Advertising).
- Functional — remembering your theme (light/dark), recently-used tools, game progress and settings (kept in your browser’s local storage), and features powered by Google Firebase (such as newsletter sign-up and optional web-push notifications).
- Error monitoring — Sentry, to capture technical errors so I can fix them.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of advertising cookies using the links in the Advertising section. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
4. Advertising & interest-based ads
This Site displays ads and uses Mediavine to manage third-party advertising. As part of that, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These partners may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity to show more relevant ads and measure their performance.
You can opt out of personalized advertising:
- Google’s use of advertising cookies — Google Ads Settings.
- Many other vendors — the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org, and (in the EU) youronlinechoices.eu.
Mediavine is our advertising management partner. You can read how Mediavine handles data in the Mediavine Privacy Policy, which also links to the list of advertising partners it works with.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you will be shown a consent banner that lets you accept or decline personalized advertising and manage your choices; you can reopen it at any time to change your consent.
5. Affiliate links & disclosure
Some pages contain affiliate links — including through the Amazon Associates program and the Impact network. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships never change the price you pay, and I only link to things I consider genuinely useful.
6. Third-party services
The Site relies on these third parties, each with its own privacy policy:
- Mediavine — advertising management. Policy
- Google — Analytics 4 and advertising. Policy
- Microsoft Clarity — usage analytics & session replay. Policy
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — newsletter, web push, and leaderboards. Policy
- Sentry — error monitoring. Policy
- Resend and EmailJS — sending email and form messages. Resend · EmailJS
- Cloudflare — content delivery and image proxy. Policy
- Amazon Associates and Impact — affiliate programs. Amazon · Impact
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- EEA / UK (GDPR): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, including to direct marketing and profiling.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Under CCPA/CPRA, the use of advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” — you can exercise this through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option in the consent banner shown to California visitors.
- Canada (PIPEDA): the right to access your personal information and challenge its accuracy.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link at the bottom of any email.
8. Data retention
I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: newsletter data until you unsubscribe; leaderboard entries until you ask me to remove them; and analytics/advertising data for the retention periods set by the respective providers. Aggregated or anonymized data may be kept longer.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email me and I will delete it.
10. International data transfers
I operate from Canada, and the third-party services above process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
11. Third-party links
The Site links to other websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact
